About Young Heroes Car Show

The Full Story

The Young Heroes Car Show is an annual event proudly created by Olivia Netzel, as a grade 10 student from Lucky Lake, Saskatchewan.  This successful event began in 2021 bringing in over 50 unique automobiles and their passionate and knowledgeable owners.  With the help of spectators and participants, The Young Heroes Car Show raised over $3,800 for the Jim Pattison Children's Hospital exceeding the fundraising goal of $500.  In 2022, the once again successful car show brought in 50 cars and raised over $5,200 for The Jim Pattison Children's Hospital.

It took Olivia over 5 months to successfully execute the event from begin to end.  The Leadership 20 course through her Distance Learning Course gave her the tools needed to organize and execute this event.  She will use the tools she learned through this planning process to bring this annual event to life in small town Lucky Lake.
